The night went on by quite slowly thanks to the repellent eating mosquitoes along with the midnight sounds made by the plastic enveloped mattress… amongst other familiar and unfamiliar sounds on which I will not comment on or describe.
1. Everyone awoke in a environment much unlike their own, curiosity took the best of them as each participant of the FDTP wondered just what the first day of the next month of their lives would hold in store for them. …Would it be groundbreaking? Would it change their lives or would it be just another hang out? There was some turbulence when the FDTP schedule was put into effect as there were some unprecedented factors such as latecomers and lack of time to prepare the classes which made the teens restless. Some went cross-eyed with the late and mixed versions of the schedule. But all was not lost as the conscience in the minds and hearts of each teen told them that if this was a time to be enjoy to the full, they would have to be a little more punctual in the days that followed.
2. The morning activity consisted of separate groups reading a specific topic on which they had to prepare an illustrative presentation for the rest of the participants. This included a wide array of skits, songs and poems. Congratulations to each team whose presentations were impressive and even surprising! The afternoon class was a keynote meeting given by Phil that clarified and set straight the rules of conduct, the focus and the goal of the FDTP.
3. The night activity!
The night activity was geared towards glorifying the Lord for the various miracles he performed in the lives of some of the teens as he supplied the means for all to participate of the FDTP.
